Our Magical Journey

Founded in 2016 by childhood education specialists Margaret Thompson and David Chen, FunLand Adventure Park began as a simple dream to create the perfect playground where Canadian children could explore, learn, and grow through play. What started as a small community project in Maple Valley, Ontario, has blossomed into one of Canada's premier children's entertainment destinations.

Our founders, both former elementary school teachers, noticed a gap in available recreational facilities that truly understood child development principles. They envisioned a space that would combine the excitement of traditional amusement parks with the educational value of interactive learning centers, all while maintaining the highest safety standards possible.

After two years of careful planning, extensive research into child psychology and play therapy, and collaboration with leading safety experts, FunLand Adventure Park opened its doors in the summer of 2018. From our humble beginnings with just five attractions, we've grown to feature over 25 unique play experiences, hosting more than 50,000 happy visitors annually.

Today, FunLand stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful design and genuine care for children's wellbeing. Every attraction, every program, and every detail has been crafted with one goal in mind: creating lasting memories while supporting healthy child development in a safe, inclusive environment.

With 20 years in early childhood education and a Master's in Child Development, Margaret oversees all creative programming and ensures our attractions align with developmental milestones. Her innovative approach to learning through play has shaped FunLand's unique identity.

David Chen

Co-Founder & Operations Manager

David brings extensive experience in business management and child psychology to FunLand. His expertise in operational efficiency and staff training ensures smooth daily operations while maintaining our high standards of care and safety.

Rebecca Martinez

Safety Director

Rebecca's background in mechanical engineering and child safety consulting makes her the perfect guardian of FunLand's impeccable safety record. She leads our safety team and conducts daily inspections of all equipment and facilities.
